Canastota Community Band to perform
The Canastota Community Band will perform an outdoor concert (weather permitting) Sunday, July 8, 2018, at the United Church of Canastota, 144 Center St., Canastota, to benefit their many missions and ministries. Hot dogs, chips, brownies and soda will be available for purchase from 2 to 4:30 p.m., with the concert starting at 3 p.m.
Bring a lawn chair and enjoy some toe-tapping favorites.
Hot dogs $2, dressed-up dog (chili or sauerkraut) $3, chips $1, brownie $1 and beverages $1.
Annual chicken barbecue July 14
On Saturday, July 14, 2018, the United Church of Canastota, 144 Center St, is hosting a chicken barbecue starting at 11 a.m. until sold out. Menu includes a half chicken, salt potatoes, beans, slaw, roll and dessert for $10.
Donate a non-perishable good and pay just $9. It’s even a drive-through – pull in, pay and drive away.
All proceeds to benefit our missions, including the Nicaragua Medical Mission, Loaves & Fishes Hospitality Center, Heifer International, Operation Christmas Child and UMC missions.
