Madison County Fair: Celebrating the bounty of Madison County

Join in Celebrating the Bounty of Madison County at the Madison County Fair in Brookfield! Gates Open Thursday, July 12th at 10 am, bring a non-perishable food item and get in free! At 3 p.m. enjoy the Miss & Mister Madison County competition. The Firemen’s Parade steps off at 6 pm, followed by Madison County Fair’s premiere Team Demolition Derby at 7 pm.

On Friday, July 13th, senior citizens get in free! At 4 pm experience the taste and talent of Madison County at the Local Food Evening and the Talent Show. Don’t miss out on the Power Pulling action beginning at 7 p.m. when the Gas & Diesel trucks take on the weight machine and dance the night away with the Band Broken Rule Band on stage.

Saturday, July 14th, is Youth Day hosted by the Madison County 4-H and Cornell Cooperative Extension. At 1 p.m. don’t miss the wild Power Wheels Demo followed by the ever-popular smash’em crash’em demolition derby and rollover contest. At 7 p.m. the Lum Brothers Band light up the stage.

Sunday, July 9 is Local Agriculture Day! Gates open at 8 am with the Tractor Pull spinning off at 9:30 am. At 2 pm the popular bicycle giveaway will take place (age 15 and under/must be present to win). At 3 pm enjoy the music of Matt Chase and the Thunder Canyon Band. The Chainsaw Art silent action winners will be announced at 3 pm.

Every day, the fair will offer 4H Demonstrations and Exhibits, Jennifer Black Chainsaw Artist (silent auction for craved pieces), Ag Awareness Display, Crafters & Demonstrations, Animal Shows, an Antique Stock Car Display, thrilling Midway rides, the Animal Alley Petting Zoo, Buffalo Barfield’s Unheard of Entertainment, delicious food and, of course, the beer tent!

General Admission is $3 on opening day and $5 for the remainder of the weekend. Children under three are admitted free every day and senior citizens get in free Friday, July 13th.
