Daniel Galvez Named All-Academic by United College Hockey Conference

Daniel Galvez of Hamilton is one of 19 Lebanon Valley College men’s and women’s ice hockey players recognized by the United College Hockey Conference for their academic performance during the 2017-18 season. Galvez, a graduate of Sherburne Earlville Central School, is pursuing a bachelor of science in computer and data science and digital communications.

LVC saw 12 men’s player and seven women’s players named to the inaugural UCHC All-Academic Teams. To be eligible for all-academic consideration, a player must have completed at least one academic year at their current institution, while holding a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or higher for all terms of the 2017-18 academic year.

In addition to their most recent accolades, men’s player Cole Hepler was named Academic All-Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) for his combination of athletic and academic success this winter, while Tyler Perhac was named Second-Team All-MAC. On the women’s side, Jill Moffatt earned All-MAC First-Team honors after setting the NCAA Division III single-season record for total saves.
