Identity theft/Internet safety workshop tonight, July 17, at Utica Public Library

The Utica Municipal Housing Authority will sponsor a workshop on identity theft protection and internet safety at 6:00 pm Tuesday, July 17 at the Utica Public Library, 303 Genesee Street, Utica,  Second Floor, Gallery. The event is free and open to the public. Parking is in the lot at the Park Avenue entrance of the Library.  Elevator service is available. Light refreshments will be served.

A representative from the New York State Attorney General Office will speak at the workshop. The workshop will cover how to protect yourself from identity theft and safeguarding your privacy on the Internet.

This workshop is offered by the  Utica Municipal Housing Authority Outreach Center at the Utica Public Library which educates the community and provide services in areas such as financial literacy, job training programs, and housing assistance.  The UMHA operates the Center at the Utica Public Library every Monday and Tuesday night.

The program is funded by the U.S. Corporation for National and Community Service, NYS Commission on National and Community Service, and the United Way of the Valley and the Utica Area.
