Summer Reading is going strong! “Libraries Rock” is the theme this year! We have LOTS of fun programs and performers planned. For more information, visit  midyorklib.org/morrisville/events/summer-reading-2018/.

Join us this Friday, July 27, for our Libraries Rock Craft Night at 6:30pm! Stop in and make several different “Libraries Rock” crafts on your own. All materials will be provided.

Bring your preschool child (ages 2-5) for our summer time story hour Tuesday, July 31, at 10 a.m.

We will be reading stories about “Let’s Sing!” Make a craft, hear some stories and more! (If you cannot make that day, join us August 7 for “Music Fun!” This is our last story hour until Tuesday Oct. 2.)

We have a great opportunity on Tuesday July 31 with our Create Your Own Musical Instrument at 6:30 p.m. The elementary school librarian from SVCS here this summer! Join Ms. Ingalls as she helps you create your own instrument(s) using miscellaneous craft and recycling supplies, etc.! (Open to anyone not just SVCS students!)

Dan the Snakeman will be here on Wednesday, Aug. 1, at 6:30 p.m. Come see, touch and learn about some very interesting and dangerous reptiles! Fun for everyone so bring in your parents, kids!

Join us Friday, Aug. 3, for our Back in Time with Music program at 6:30 p.m. Come have some fun with music. We will be playing around with music from the past! Lots of fun to be had with classic music.

“We Rock!” on Monday, Aug. 6, at 6:30 p.m. Thanks to a grant from the Central NY Regional Council we have been able to bring your elementary school librarian from MECS here this summer. Join Miss Wise as she reads “Only One You” by Linda Kranz. Then create your own masterpiece on rocks to decorate the library garden. (Open to anyone, not just MECS students.)

On Wednesday, Aug. 8, Out of the Cage Pet Mobile will be here at 6:30 p.m. Join Jennifer Clark as she brings her traveling exotic petting zoo to our library. She will be bringing six different animals to learn about as well as see and touch.

Friday, Aug. 10, we will “Rock Around the World” at 6:30 p.m. Come join us as we have fun with music from around the world! It will be a rockin’ good time. Games, a craft and more.

Summer Reading ends Friday, Aug. 10, at 8 p.m. Get your reading records in at the library and make sure you have read at least 10 hours.

We are running our summer hours. That means we will be closed Saturdays through Labor Day. We are open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from noon to 8 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and
Saturday closed.
