Brindisi draws strong crowd at opening of new Democratic organizing headquarters in Binghamton
“A lot of us right now, myself included, are seeing what’s going on in Washington and are fed up,” Brindisi said. “We’re fed up with tax cuts that go to big corporations and the wealthy. We’re fed up with new healthcare laws that cause premiums to spike. And we’re fed up with a representative who takes corporate PAC money and refuses to listen to her constituents. If you’re fed up, then now is the time to get involved, to knock doors and make phone calls so your neighbors know how important this election is,” he continued.
The Binghamton organizing headquarters will be a central hub for community members to volunteer for the upcoming midterm elections. Brindisi’s event draws a clear contrast with Rep. Claudia Tenney, who later in the day will hold a closed-door fundraiser with Rep. Devin Nunes, which is expected to draw protestors from throughout the Southern Tier.
