Series of November Games Against Local Competition Helps Jump-Start Season
The CNY Classic highlights the early portion of the 2018-19 Colgate Men’s Basketball schedule.
Colgate is designated as the official host for the event that also is being played at three other sites: Binghamton, Cornell and NJIT. The four Division I programs are playing a round-robin and also mixing in one game against Division III foes SUNY Canton, Misericordia, Nazareth and Kean.
Colgate is taking on Nazareth for its Division III opponent, set for Nov. 14.
The Raiders open the Classic with a Nov. 6 road game at NJIT. Colgate is at Cornell Nov. 11 and then the Raiders wrap the event with a Nov. 19 home date against Binghamton.
“This is a great opportunity for us to play some of our Central New York opponents in an organized fashion,” Colgate head coach Matt Langel said. “These are teams we normally face, and we were happy to partner with them to help set the early portion of our nonconference schedules.”

- Nov. 6 – COLGATE at NJIT; Cornell at Binghamton
- Nov. 8 – SUNY Canton at Cornell
- Nov. 9 – NJIT at Binghamton
- Nov. 11 – COLGATE at Cornell
- Nov. 12 – Misericordia at Binghamton
- Nov. 14 – Nazareth at COLGATE; Kean at NJIT
- Nov. 17 – Cornell at NJIT
- Nov. 19 – Binghamton at COLGATE
