Asian Elephant Extravaganza Aug. 18 at Rosamond Gifford Zoo
The Rosamond Gifford Zoo will hold its annual Asian Elephant Extravaganza from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 18.
The event celebrates the zoo’s seven-member herd of Asian elephants, an endangered species, and the cultures of their native countries.
Activities include Indonesian gamelan music, traditional Indian dance, elephant enrichment activities and a chance to see Siri, our Asian elephant matriarch, paint a masterpiece to be raffled for wild elephant conservation.
The Rosamond Gifford Zoo is located at 1 Conservation Place, Syracuse.
