WRHA presents Woofstock 2018

Wanderers’ Rest Humane Association presents its second annual Woofstock from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 9, at Jim Marshall Farms Foundation in Chittenango. The event is an eclectic, psychedelic-type ’60s festival to benefit Wanderers’ Rest Humane Association in Canastota.

Woofstock features more than 30 vendors; children’s activities featuring “Pet” Rock Painting, coloring and fun crafts and make a real ‘Paw Print With Your Pooch;’ music and great entertainment with Scars ‘N Stripes (Syracuse), a nationally known comedian from NYC’s “WizeGuyz” – Mr. Pete DeLorenzo; local artists, raffle baskets and items, a 50/50, adoptable animals from animal rescues, great food, ice cream and refreshments, a few surprises to present, Sunshine Horse Rescue group with a real live pony, CNY SPCA Cruelty Investigation Demo and Booth – Ask the Experts, WRHA event t-shirts and dog bandannas, a dog kissing booth to take photos with your dog, a great dog walk course complete with rest stations, free admission, rain or shine.

Organizers promise a fun-filled family day of peace, love and celebration of pets. The day is dedicated to the community to benefit the only animal shelter in Madison County.
