Chenango Bird Club to present ‘The Magic of Monarchs’

The Chenango Bird Club will present “The Magic of Monarchs” at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10, at Rogers Environmental Education Center’s Visitor Center.

Presenter Tanner Cliffe is a Bainbridge-Guilford senior who has been accompanying his “roadside naturalist” grandfather for many years. The program tracks the development of Monarch butterflies from egg to adult and features Tanner’s experiences raising and tagging them.

Refreshments will be served following Tanner’s presentation. Prior to the program, the Chenango Bird Club will have a short business meeting. Everyone is welcome to attend all or part of the evening’s activities.

The Chenango Bird Club presents monthly programs (except January, February, and March). Nature enthusiasts of all levels and interests are invited to all Chenango Bird Club programs, free of charge, at the Rogers Environmental Education Center.

Rogers Center is located one mile west of Sherburne Village on State Highway 80. Use the driveway just west of the main parking lot exit. Pass the parked pickup trucks and continue past the pond to reach the Visitor Center.

Call Club President Charlene LaFever at 607.334.9112 for more information on Chenango Bird Club activities.
