Cazenovia Public Library to Host Interactive Junior Book Club

“The Wild and Wonderful Readers” junior book club will hold its next meeting on Tuesday, November 6 at 3:30 pm in the Cazenovia Public Library Story Garden Room. The session will combine book discussion, games, and hands-on creative activities. The group will discuss Ingrid Law’s children’s fantasy novel Savvy (2008). The book was named a 2009 Newbery Honor Book by the American Library Association.

For generations, the Beaumont family has concealed a magical secret. Each family member possesses a “savvy”—a special supernatural power that strikes when they turn thirteen. Two days before Mibs’ big day, her family receives news that Poppa has been in a terrible accident. With hope that her new power will save her father, Mibs embarks on an unforgettable journey to the hospital.

The junior book club is open to children ages 10-14. Books are available at the circulation desk. All events at the Cazenovia Public Library are free and open to the public. For more information, call 315-655-9322 or visit www.cazenoviapubliclibrary.org.
