Tractor Safety Course Oct. 30, 2018, at Cazenovia Equipment

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Madison County is hosting a tractor safety course for farmers and homeowners interested in learning how to operate their tractors, snowblowers and chainsaws more safely.

This tractor safety course will be hosted by Cornell Cooperative Extension of Madison County and Cazenovia Equipment Company at their Cazenovia Store. The New York Center for Agricultural Health and Medicine will provide information on safely operating equipment and will then walk participants through safe operation using tractors and other equipment at Cazenovia Equipment. A few items to be discussed will be the importance of the rollover protection system, utilizing PTO shields and properly backing and hitching equipment.

The course will be held at Cazenovia Equipment Company, 2 Remington Park Drive, Cazenovia. Caz Equipment is located on the north side of Route 20. This event will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2018, and dinner will be served.

The cost is $10 and includes dinner for the evening.
