Salina man arrested on burglary, resisting arrest and menacing charges

State police arrested Joshua T. Jackstadt, 31, of 803 Buckley Road Apt. No. 1, Salina, on charges of second-degree burglary (C felony), criminal obstruction of breathing (A misdemeanor), resisting arrest (A-misdemeanor) and third-degree menacing (B misdemeanor).
Jackstadt is accused of breaking into a neighbor’s apartment Friday, Nov. 9, and choking him around his neck.

Jackstadt left the apartment prior to patrol’s arrival.

On Nov. 10, 2018, Troopers responded to 803 Buckley Road Apt. No. 2 in the town of Salina with an arrest warrant for Jackstadt. When Troopers arrived, they knocked on the door and advised Jackstadt that he was under arrest and instructed him to place his hands behind his back. Jackstadt refused to obey all verbal commands. Troopers attempted several times to take Jackstadt into custody, but he continued to physically resist. A taser deployment was administered, and the subject was taken into custody without further incident.

Jackstadt was transported to the Onondaga County Justice Center pending centralized arraignment.
