Canal Museum to host its 14th annual Christmas on the Canal

The Boonville Black River Canal Museum will host their 14th annual Christmas on the Canal on Saturday, Dec. 1, 2018, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Museum complex, found along the Black River Canal.

Locally made Christmas wreaths will be for sale on the front porch of the Mercantile. Hot dogs will be for sale as well. Coffee, cookies and popcorn will be available free of charge.

Inside the Mercantile, local author Irene Uttendorfsky will be on hand with her books. She will sign the books you purchase that day or bring in her books that you already own. Also, Steve Schleicher from North Country Forge, Awesome Country, Michael Gavigan from Mag’s Creations and Ashley Galligan from Geodesic Love will be on hand selling their wares. There will be something for everyone on your Christmas list.

The Hemlock gift shop will be open selling their canal clothing, DVDs, CDs and books along with their Museum lanyards, key chains, magnets and coffee mugs.

There will be a raffle for a reproduction of a handcrafted early American child’s sled. Tickets will be $1 each or six tickets for $5. The tickets will be sold at the Mercantile on the day of the event and the drawing will be at 3 p.m. that day.

Come to the Boonville Black River Canal Museum and get a head start on your Christmas shopping and support your local Museum.
