Troopers investigate fatal crash in Oneida County
On Nov. 20, 2018, at 6:30 p.m., state police responded to a two-car personal injury accident on Mohawk Street in the town of Marcy.
The investigation revealed a 2018 Subaru Legacy, operated by 72-year-old Shirley D. Stomierowski was southbound on Mohawk Street when she crossed over into the northbound lane, sideswiping an oncoming 2016 Toyota Camry operated by Marjorie Brower, 84.
Stomierowski’s vehicle then continued off the east side of the roadway.
Marjorie Brower was transported to St. Luke’s Hospital with minor injuries. Shirley Stomierowski was transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital where she was pronounced deceased.
The investigation is continuing.
