Our annual canned food drive to benefit the Morrisville Food Pantry has begun and will continue until the end of February; help us make it better than last year. NOTE: We can only take UNEXPIRED items.

Friday, Jan.  11, we will be having our teen/adult movie night at 7 p.m. We will be showing the 2018 version of Little Women. It is rated PG-13, so we will not allow kids under 13 in without a parent or guardian. As always, we provide the popcorn, you bring your beverage.

Bring the little ones in for Kiddies Korner, our preschool story hour at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15. Help us have fun with “Let it Snow.” Stories, finger plays, a craft and more. If you cannot make that day, join us Jan. 22 for “Elephant Walk.”

Looking for a good book to read? How about joining our book talk at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16? We will be reading “My Name is Lucy Barton,” by Elizabeth Strout. Copies can be picked up now. Discussion open to teens and adults. So grab a book, read it and come join us for a sure-to-be-fun discussion.

We are hosting NERF Nights in January. Kids 10 and up from 8:30 to 11 p.m. Friday, Jan. 18, and NERF for Littles (ages 4 to 8 ONLY) from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19. (Parents must stay on site for the Littles one.) Stop into the library starting Jan. 2 and sign up for one or the other. Make sure to get a permission slip for each child, as we will not allow kids to play if they don’t arrive with one all completed.

On Friday, Jan. 25, join us for our 7 p.m. Family Movie Night. We will be showing “Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween.” We provide the popcorn; just bring your own beverage.

The Library Board of Trustees will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 17, in the program room. The public is welcome to attend.

The library will be closed Monday, Jan. 21, to observe Martin Luther King Jr. Day. We will reopen Tuesday at 10 a.m.

We are open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from noon to 8 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
