The Cazenovia Public Library will kick off the new year with “Warming Up to Winter: Programs to Enrich the Season.” This January through March, the Library will present events and activities designed to banish the winter blues and promote warmth and joy in the community. An opening reception will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 23, at 7 pm in the Reference Room. The celebration will feature stories, crafts, snacks, and fun for the whole family.

The special series will explore the ideas and practice of Hygge (pronounced “hue-guh”), a Danish concept encompassing coziness, comfort, and feelings of wellness and contentment. The Hygge-inspired programs will include small group hands-on learning opportunities, presentations, movies, and a weekly “Cozy Café (Wednesdays, 10 am-1 pm), featuring crafts, conversation, and warm drinks. “Warming Up to Winter” is sponsored by the Friends of the Cazenovia Public Library.

All events at the Cazenovia Public Library are free and open to the public. For more information, call 315-655-9322 or visit www.cazenoviapubliclibrary.org.
