State Police arrested 21-year-old Adam G. Phillips of New Woodstock for third-degree rape, a class E felony.

This investigation was initiated when the parents of a 15-year-old juvenile in the town of Clay contacted troopers regarding suspicions that their daughter had met an adult online and was involved in an intimate relationship with Phillips.

Phillip was charged with having sexual intercourse with a female less than 17 years old. He was transported to the Onondaga County Justice Center pending centralized arraignment.
