Our annual Canned Food Drive to benefit the Morrisville Food Pantry has begun and will continue until the end of February. Help us make it better than last year. Please note: We can only take unexpired items.

This Friday, Jan. 25, please join us for our Family Movie Night at 7 p.m. We will be showing Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween. We provide the popcorn; just bring your own beverage.

Bring the little ones in for Kiddies Korner, our preschool story hour on Tuesday, Jan. 29, at 10 a.m. Help us have fun with “Let’s Have a Party.” Stories, finger plays a craft and more. If you cannot make that day, join us Tuesday, Feb. 5, for “Get Well Soon.”

On Monday, Feb. 4 through Monday, April 15, we begin doing our program, Free Tax Prep for Seniors. RSVP with the support of the Morrisville Public Library will offer free income tax preparation for seniors 60 years and older. RSVP volunteers will be providing free income tax services Feb. 4 through April 15. Volunteers are certified by the IRS to complete your tax forms. Call Cooperative Extension after Feb. 1 at 315.684.3001 to sign up for your appointment to have your tax returns filed free of charge.

Join us Friday, Feb. 8, for Valentine Cards and Treats at 6:30 p.m. (There is a snow date of Saturday, Feb. 9, at 2 p.m., just in case.) Come make two valentines for a special someone and two sweet treat holders, too. Cost is $10 per set of four activities (payable the night of the program). Jackie Groves of Librarystampers Creations will demonstrate how to use stamps and other tools to create these unique items. This is open to ages 12 and up (younger participants allowed with a parent or guardian). We must have five people signed up to have this event, so sign up now at the circulation desk.

On Wednesday, Feb. 13, we will be having our Adulting 101-Topic: Basics of Sewing Part 1 which was rescheduled from Jan. 9. Don’t know how to sew? Need to remember how? This is for you. Learn the basics of sewing and leave with your own potholder created by YOU. If you have a sewing machine or can borrow one, bring it. All participants need to bring one-half yard of material, as well. All other materials will be provided.

We are open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from noon to 8 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
