The 2019 Poverty Symposium will be held Monday, Jan. 28, from 4 to 7 p.m., at Utica College, Carbone Auditorium.

4 p.m. Poverty March Initiative

The Poverty March Initiative begins at MVCAA’s Ney Ave Head Start Site, 1110 Ney Ave, and proceeds to Carbone Auditorium, Utica College; Ney Ave Site will be open at 3:30 for tours and information regarding MVCAA’s programs, the march commences at 4:30. A van will be available at 3:45 p.m. leaving from Strebel Student Center to take participants to Ney Ave.

5 p.m. Panel Discussion

Panelists include: Tiffney Marley, Director, Practice Transformation, National Community Action Partnership (Moderator); Mary Hayes Gordon, Young Scholars Liberty Partnership Program Richard Duque, Assistant Professor of Sociology, Ugur Orak, Assistant Professor of Sociology, Utica College

6 p.m. Human Library/PhotoVoice Display
