Cortland junior Wyatt Myers (Chittenango) has been named to the D3baseball.com National “Team of the Week” for the week ending Feb. 10. The D3baseball.com team consists of the top players for the week, by position, among all Division III schools nationally.

Myers was recognized as a designated hitter on the weekly team. He started one game at DH and one at first base for the Red Dragons in their season-opening games at Trinity University (Texas) last weekend. Myers batted .571 (4-for-7) with a homer, double, walk, five RBI and three runs scored in two games against the nationally fourth-ranked Tigers. He went 2-for-3 with a double, walk, three RBI and two runs scored Saturday and finished 2-for-4 with a solo homer and two RBI Sunday.

Cortland, ranked eighth nationally, returns to action with two games at 22nd-ranked Salisbury Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 23-24.
