On March 7, 2019, at 8:51 a.m., state police responded to the intersection of Glenmore road and Glen Ridge Drive in the town of Annsville for a reported teen struck by a vehicle.
Investigation revealed a 13-year-old female student was walking toward a Camden Central School District School Bus, which was stationary and having its red lights flashing and stop signs out when a 2015 Chrysler operated by Christy M. Vongkhamchanh, 39, of Taberg, failed to stop for the school bus, striking the student on the passenger’s side of the vehicle.
The teen struck the lower passenger side of the windshield, and was transported to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital for a medical evaluation.
Vongkhamchanh was issued uniform traffic tickets for failure to stop for a school bus and speeding.
