Canastota\u2019s High School\u2019s chapter sent five members to the\nconference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Chapter advisors Elizabeth Garofalo and Robert Esposito accompanied members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students participated in general sessions, workshops, competitive\nevents and served as voting delegates throughout the three-day event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the conference, the Canastota Chapter was recognized as one of the\ntop-five outstanding chapters in the state \u2013 receiving fourth place recognition\nfor their efforts during the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Emily Case successfully campaigned for the position of State Vice\nPresident for District 7 and will serve for the 2019-20 school year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The chapter\u2019s Local Chapter Annual Report earned first place recognition and will advance to the National Leadership Conference in June. Case and Ryan Aumell were recognized for achieving the first level of the Community Service Awards program by volunteering more than 50 hours this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Case was also the recipient of the state Humanitarian Award for Community Service. Bryson DeMott and Eden LaRonde finished as top eight finalists in Basic Decision Making and Impromptu Speaking, respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Garofalo received the state Honorary Life Membership Award along with acceptance to the FBLA-PBL National Advisor Wall of Fame.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Program of Work awards received include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Power to Present<\/li><li>Most Charitable Chapter \u2013 Third Place<\/li><li>Early Bird Recognition<\/li><li>Fueling Your Future<\/li><li>Motivate to Give Back<\/li><li>Pitching Profit<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>New York State FBLA is composed of nearly 8,000 members in 180 chapters.
