{"id":102879,"date":"2019-04-19T22:21:12","date_gmt":"2019-04-20T02:21:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/madisoncountycourier.com\/?p=102879"},"modified":"2019-04-19T11:18:08","modified_gmt":"2019-04-19T15:18:08","slug":"syr-airport-authority-board-selects-new-executive-director","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/madisoncountycourier.com\/?p=102879","title":{"rendered":"SYR Airport Authority board selects new executive director"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"144\" height=\"104\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/madisoncountycourier.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/SYR-Airport-Hancock-SRAA.gif?resize=144%2C104&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-96026\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Syracuse Regional Airport Authority announced that Jason\nTerreri has been selected to lead the Syracuse Hancock International Airport as\nits new executive director.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Terreri comes to SYR from Airports Worldwide, Inc., in\nSanford, Fla., and was selected as the finalist for the position by a search\ncommittee from a national field of competitive candidates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The SRAA Board voted unanimously to confirm Terreri\u2019s\nselection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe are excited to welcome Jason to central New York,\u201d said\nJo Anne Gagliano, SRAA board chairwoman. \u201cOn behalf of the board, the search committee,\nand the staff at the airport, we are excited to have Jason lead the SRAA into\nour next phase of growth and development. His record of success and his experience\nwill be enormously beneficial as we continue to improve the passenger\nexperience, expand air service, and modernize our facilities.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Terreri is an industry veteran with more than 15 years of\nsenior airport management experience. He is an accredited airport executive\nwith the American Association of Airport Executives and an International\nAirport Professional through Airports Council International. Most recently, Terreri\nserved as the senior operations project director for Airports Worldwide, Inc.,\nwhere he was responsible for a slate of executive management projects\nincluding: airport planning and development activities, strategic deployment of\nlarge-scale capital projects, and oversight of air service development activities\nfor multiple airports within the Airports Worldwide portfolio. He has also\npreviously served as assistant director of Airports for Horry County Department\nof Airports in South Carolina, and as the interim director of new business development\nfor Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport in Georgia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cAt the end of a comprehensive national search, we found an\nexcellent candidate in Jason. He has significant experience in operations,\nstrategic planning, capital improvement and business and economic development\nand that is a perfect fit for the direction the Board envisions for the\nAirport\u2019s next stages of growth,&#8221; said Michael Lazar, search committee\nchairman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI\u2019m delighted to be joining the team of Syracuse Airport professionals,\nas well as my family and I becoming members of the region and the Syracuse\ncommunity at large,\u201d Terreri said. \u201cThis is an exciting time for the airport,\nand I look forward to contributing to the development of an expanded customer\nbase, the development of additional top-notch facilities at the airport, and\ngetting to know the wonderful central New York region the airport serves.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Terreri will begin his new duties May 13, 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The national search to find and select Terreri was conducted\nby Steven Baldwin Associates, an industry leader in airport management\nconsulting, based in Albany.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Syracuse Regional Airport Authority announced that Jason Terreri has been selected to lead the Syracuse Hancock International Airport as its new executive director.
