Medina, 33, of Syracuse, and Juan L. Perez, 60, of Trumansburg, were operating\njet-skis in an unsafe manner by weaving in and out of each other. Medina drove\nhis jet-ski into the side of Perez\u2019s jet-ski causing injury to Perez\u2019s left\nankle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vineall ambulance responded to the scene, but Perez refused\ntreatment. Both operators were issued tickets for reckless operation and\noperating a personal watercraft without a safety certificate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Medina fled the scene and was additionally issued a ticket\nfor leaving the scene of a personal injury accident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Both operators are scheduled to appear in Lenox Town Court July\n2, 2019, to answer the charges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bridgeport Fire Department and the state police assisted at\nthe scene.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On Sunday, June 9, 2019, at 7:21 p.m., members of the Madison County Sheriff\u2019s Office Navigation Patrol responded to a reported jet-ski accident that occurred on Oneida Lake.
