Gilbert, 51, of Bernhards Bay, was\neastbound on Route 49 when, after the operator shifted to a higher gear, the\npassenger sitting behind the operator let go and was ejected from the\nmotorcycle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The passenger, 49-year-old&nbsp;Shelly A. Burghart&nbsp;fell\nto the road striking her head and face. She was transported to SUNY Upstate\nMedical University and was listed in serious condition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gilbert was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation\n(a misdemeanor), and improper license plates and unregistered motorcycle, both\nviolations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The investigation continues.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Troopers investigate motorcycle accident in Oswego County On June 9, 2019, state police responded to a motorcycle accident that occurred on State Route 49 in Constantia, Oswego County.
