Focus areas within the EQIP program include the farmstead, soil\nmanagement, habitat, forestry and grazing.&nbsp;\nExamples of practices implemented through EQIP include: strip cropping,\ngrassed waterways, forest stand improvement and manure storage facilities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">NRCS will work with applicants to review potential resource\nconcerns on the land included in the application and to develop a conservation\nplan to address the identified resource concerns. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Applications accepted after July 19, 2019 will be considered\nin the next signup. The term \u201cYoung Forest\u201d is used to describe ecosystems\ndensely occupied with seedlings, saplings, shrubs, and other early-successional\nplants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Through the Regional Conservation Partnership Program,\nfunding is available to private forest owners and operators for forest\nstewardship planning and for implementing practices that restore young forest\nhabitat. Local Partners and NRCS offices will work together to provide\nassistance to producers in planning and implementing conservation practices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This RCPP partnership announces Aug. 16, 2019, as the\napplication cutoff date for the next round of funding. All applications are\ncompetitive and are ranked based on locally identified resource priorities and\nthe overall benefit to the environment. Interested landowners should contact\ntheir local NRCS office for additional information and to obtain an\napplication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As part of application process, all landowners will need to\ncomplete USDA eligibility requirements.
