Troopers investigate fatal crash in Rome<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

On July 9, 2019 at approximately 3:34 pm, State Police\nresponded to a two-car crash on State Route 46 near Townline Road in the city\nof Rome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Investigation has revealed that a 2016 Chevrolet Trax,\noperated by Tyler R. Bangs, 27, of North Bay, was southbound on Route 46\nwhen it crossed over into the northbound lane and struck head-on a 2012 Ford\nFusion operated by Roxanne L. Platt, 63, of Utica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both operators were extricated from their vehicles by members\nof Rome City Fire Department.  Bangs was transported to Rome Memorial\nHospital where he was pronounced deceased. Platt was air lifted to SUNY Upstate\nMedical University, where she is currently listed in critical condition with\ninternal injuries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The investigation continues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

State Police in Fulton are investigating the fraudulent use\nof credit card information that occurred at the Wal-Mart store on State Route 3\nin Granby.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Store security footage shows an unknown female charging $504\nfor a prepaid visa card at the store July 1, 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anyone with information about the individual in the security\nphotos is asked to contact state police at 315.366.6000. All information will\nbe kept confidential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
