On July 11, 2019 at 5:17 a.m., a Madison County Sheriff\u2019s\nOffice deputy responded to a residence on Oxbow Road in Lincoln for a report of\na burglary not in progress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The homeowners reported that while they were asleep, someone\nentered their residence, garage and utility trailer and stole several items,\nwhich consisted of a .270 bolt-action rifle, multiple credit cards, electronics\nand several tools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The homeowners also reported that their pickup truck was\nstolen from their driveway. The deputy on the scene put out a be-on-the-lookout\nfor the stolen truck.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At 7:55 a.m., a sergeant with the Oneida City Police\nDepartment observed the stolen vehicle on Mount Hope Avenue in the city of\nOneida parked on the side of the road. A male, later identified as Timothy\nChristman, Jr., 31, of Oneida, walked from a nearby driveway over to the\nvehicle. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that Christman had\ndriven the stolen vehicle and parked it on the side of the road.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Christman was searched and two checkbooks were found in his\npants pocket. One of the checkbooks belonged to the victim from Oxbow Road and\nthe other was reported stolen from the City of Syracuse. The pickup truck was\nsearched and several of the stolen items were recovered from the truck,\nincluding the rifle and tools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sheriff\u2019s deputies took custody of Christman and towed the\nstolen vehicle back to the Sheriff\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sheriff\u2019s investigators continued the investigation and\ndiscovered before Christman was apprehended on Mount Hope Avenue, he committed\nthe burglary on Oxbow Road and then left two duffel bags of stolen tools and\nelectronics at another residence in Lincoln. The property in the duffel bags\nwas recovered and identified as the stolen property from the Oxbow Road\nresidence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Investigators with the Madison County Sheriff\u2019s Office\ncharged Christman with second-degree burglary (a class C felony) and four counts\nof fourth-degree grand larceny (class E felonies).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Christman was arraigned in Lincoln Town Court and remanded\nto the Madison County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bail bond; he\nis scheduled to return to court at 3 p.m. July 16, 2019.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
