Sweet, 53, of 176 Mill Lane,\nFort Plain, on seven counts of state Agriculture and Markets Law \u00a7 353 &#8211; overdriving,\ntorturing and injuring animals; failure to provide proper sustenance, a class A\nmisdemeanor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On July 16, 2019, troopers responded to 622 Wagner Hill Road\nin the town of Stark for a reported animal cruelty complaint. When troopers\narrived, they located nearly 30 piglets without food and no potable drinking\nwater.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Four piglets were also found deceased inside the pen, with\nflies covering the bodies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Humane Society in Herkimer County responded and placed\nthe living piglets in a temporary home until the outcome of the investigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sweet was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to\nappear in Stark Town Court at 7 p.m. Aug. 9, 2019.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>State police arrested Robert F.
