This comes as a result of unprecedented growth in passenger\ntraffic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An active curb line means that vehicles are not allowed to\nstand or park at the curb line and wait for passengers. Those waiting for\npassengers to arrive are encouraged to wait in the free cell phone lot until\ncontacted by the arriving passenger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Anyone visiting SYR during peak hours can expect to see an\nincreased police presence and subsequent enforcement of this policy. This\neffort serves as the first phase of a campaign to improve ground transportation\nsafety and efficiency in light of the increased traffic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s one of those interesting problems to have \u2013 on one\nhand, we\u2019re incredibly proud of our<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Growth,\u201d said Executive Director Jason Terreri. \u201cOn the\nother hand, that growth brings about new safety and efficiency concerns. We are\nabsolutely committed to providing safe and efficient air travel to the\nresidents of Central New York \u2013 and beyond.
