The Remsen Arts Center\npresents a concert by \u201cTuesday Night Big Band\u201d at 7 a.m. Tuesday, Aug.\n6, 2019, at 9627 Main St., Remsen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

General admission $10,\nmembers $8, students $5.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The band is a jazz\nensemble performing music from the early 20th Century \u201cBig Band Era\u201d plus more\nrecent compositions. Most of the music played by the band was first\npopular in the 1930s and \u201840s by big bands, such as ones led by Duke Ellington,\nGlenn Miller, Count Basie, Benny Goodman and many others. The Tuesday Night Big\nBand enjoys keeping this music alive for audience enjoyment into the 21st\ncentury.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Tuesday Night Big\nBand was formed in the summer of 1991. All experienced musicians, the 14\nmembers reside in the Utica region. At this time, four players from 1991 still\nremain in the group, and many have been in the group for nearly 20 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
