The Syracuse\nresident succeeds Terrance Madden as board chair. Madden, senior vice president\nat OBG, remains on the board.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Didio is an audit partner at Dannible &amp; McKee, LLP, a\nfull-service CPA firm with offices in Syracuse, Schenectady and Binghamton.\nDidio has more than 30 years\u2019 experience overseeing audit and accounting\nservices to a wide range of privately held companies. He specializes in\naccounting and finance for manufacturing, healthcare and digital publishing\nindustries, as well as not-for-profit organizations and insurance\nagencies.&nbsp; Didio is a certified public\naccountant and a certified fraud examiner and is in charge of providing forensic\naccounting and fraud detection and prevention services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt is an honor and privilege to serve the American Red\nCross,\u201d said Didio. \u201cThey continue make a significant difference helping and\nsupporting individuals in need during their time of crisis in our community and\nall communities across our country.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The American Red Cross shelters, feeds and provides\nemotional support to victims of disasters; supplies about 40 percent of the\nnation&#8217;s blood; teaches skills that save lives; provides international\nhumanitarian aid; and supports military members and their families.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the past year, the Central New York chapter responded to\n166 local disaster incidents, providing immediate emergency assistance for 256\nfamilies; made 502 homes safer through the installation of 1,410 free smoke\nalarms as part of the Home Fire Campaign; trained 12,149 people in first aid,\nCPR and water safety skills; provided 883 case services to military members,\nveterans and their families via Service to the Armed Forces; and collected\n36,100 blood donations from volunteer donors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nearly 600 volunteers ensure the Red Cross fulfills its\nmission within the Central New York area serving communities in Cayuga,\nCortland, Madison, Onondaga and Oswego counties.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Christopher Didio is a partner at Dannible &amp; McKee, LLP Christopher Didio, CPA, CFE, is the new chairman of the Board of Directors of the American Red Cross of Central New York.
