CNY Drones, in cooperation with the SUNY Academy of Model\nAeronautics Student Club, SUNY Fabrication Club, SUNY Baja Club, SUNY IEEE Club\nand SUNY 3D Printing & Design Club, present DroneFest, Saturday evening,\nSept. 28, 2019, at SUNY Polytechnic Institute\u2019s Wildcat Field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event combines two annual events, the fourth-annual Drone\nInfo Day and the third-annual NEON Night Race, for a celebration of all facets\nof drone interest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At 5 p.m., the public is invited into an interactive display\narea in the Wildcat Field House Lobby. FARM-i-GEDDON, the 2020 Team Drone\nChallenge, an indoor competition for ages 12 and up, will be highlighted along\nwith drone exhibits, activities and invited guest and club displays. The NEON\nNight drone race is presented as a MultiGP Racing event, with invited racers\nattending from across New York and beyond.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Racing begins at 7 p.m. Admission to DroneFest is free; small\ndonations are suggested for certain activities that benefit participating\nstudent clubs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SUNY student clubs work closely with CNY Drones to host\nannual STEM events starting in September with DroneFest as a season kick-off\nand wrapping up with the Team Drone Challenge Northeast Competition Day in\nApril. Students who stay in the area over the summer, assist with CNY Drones\nprograms and help design field elements for the annual competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the first time, FARM-i-GEDDON\u2019s Northeast Competition\nDay will include 2 divisions, middle\/high school and a new college\/adult level.\nFor three years, SUNY Polytechnic Institute\u2019s engineering clubs have helped\ngive young students opportunities to participate in reasonably-priced\nactivities that tie into New York\u2019s growing drone industry. DroneFest will be\nfollowed by monthly tech meets and indoor races to further connect college age\nengineering students with their younger counterparts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CNY Drones provides student and adult access to drone\ntechnology through an information hub and year-round events.
