If the deputy\nobserves any signs of impairment, the deputy will conduct field sobriety tests\nthat may result in the arrest of the driver.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Checkpoints are conducted in an effort to deter people from\ngetting behind the wheel when they are impaired by alcohol or drugs.
