State police are seeking public assistance with identifying\ntwo individuals captured on store surveillance cameras at Macy\u2019s inside Destiny\nUSA in Syracuse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anyone with information on the identity of either individual\nis asked to contact state police at 315.366.6000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All information will remain confidential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Troopers investigate fatal UTV crash in Jefferson County<\/strong>
\nOn Sept. 1, 2019, at approximately 5:39 a.m., State Police in Carthage\nresponded to a utility task vehicle accident that occurred at 31602 Lee Road in\nthe town of Champion, Jefferson County.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to police, investigation revealed Derek A.\nMoore, 45, of Copenhagen, was operating a 2018 Polaris UTV on Lee Road at high speed\nwhen he failed to negotiate a turn, striking two fixed signposts and driving\noff the shoulder of the roadway, causing the UTV to overturn and strike a\nutility pole.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moore was pronounced deceased at the scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The investigation continues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

State police\ninvestigate fatal crash in Oneida County<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Aug. 31, 2019, at approximately 2 a.m., state police in\nSylvan Beach responded to a one-car crash that occurred on Osceola Road in the\ntown of Florence, Oneida County.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to police, investigation revealed a 1989 Chevrolet\npickup truck operated by 26-year-old Jared O. Platt was southbound on Osceola\nRoad when he failed to negotiate a curve and drove off of the roadway and\nstruck a tree.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A passenger in the vehicle, Kyle Z. Platt, 26, was\npronounced deceased at the scene. Jared Platt was air-lifted by Mercy Flight to\nSUNY Upstate Medical University, where he was listed in stable condition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
