State police seek\npublic assistance with identifying two individuals in surveillance photo<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

State police in Lowville are investigating larcenies that\noccurred on two separate dates at the Wal-Mart store on Route 12 in Lowville.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Sept. 23, members from Wal-Mart Asset Protection observed\nan unknown male and female in the electronics department selecting a desktop\ncomputer valued at $399 and placing it in a shopping cart. The couple then\nproceeded toward the front of the store and exited the store without making\npayment for the computer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Oct. 10, 2019, video surveillance showed the same unknown\nmale and female subjects select a desktop computer valued at $539 and place it\nin a shopping cart. The couple then walked toward the front of the store to\nself-checkout terminal and began to cash out. \nDuring the transaction, the male subject scanned a few small items, then\nfailed to scan a KitchenAid Mixer ($39.88), a package of women’s underwear\n($9.98) and a Lenovo Desk Top Computer ($539). The unknown male and female then\nexited the store, passing all points of payment and failed to render payment\nfor the un-scanned merchandise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The total value of unpaid merchandise on Oct. 10, 2019, was\n$588.86.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anyone able to identify the individuals in the security\nphotos provided is asked to contact state police at 315.366.6000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vehicle strikes Amish\nbuggy in the town of Mexico<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

State police in Pulaski are investigating a motor vehicle-Amish\nbuggy crash that occurred on State Route 3 in the town of Mexico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Oct. 17, 2019, at approximately 4:30 p.m., a 2018 Ford\nFusion, operated by William E. Twombly, 40, of Carthage, was northbound on\nState Route 3 in Mexico and failed to observe a horse-drawn Amish buggy also northbound\non State Route 3. Twombly struck the buggy from behind, causing its occupants\nto be ejected. Twombly\u2019s vehicle struck a large rock retaining wall and a utility\npole before coming to rest.
\nAnna J. Miller, 44, of Pulaski, sustained a severe head injury and was transported\nto SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse where she is listed in critical\ncondition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Andy A. Miller, 44, of Pulaski, was transported to SUNY Upstate\nMedical University with back injuries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Twombly was transported as a precaution to SUNY Upstate Medical\nUniversity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two horses were also severely injured and euthanized at the\nowner’s request.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
