The complainant accidentally left the cash in the machine and the\ncustomer behind her retrieved it and made no attempt to turn it into a Wal-Mart\nemployee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If anyone can identify the individual in the security photo,\nthey are asked to contact state police at 315.366.6000. All information will be\nkept confidential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>22 Oct. 2019<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Utica man and two juveniles charged\nafter armed home invasion investigation in Oneida County<\/em><em><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>State police in Marcy arrested&nbsp;Carlos F. Rojas,&nbsp;20,\nof Utica, on charges of second-degree burglary, a class C felony; two counts of\nsecond-degree assault, a class D felony; fourth-degree criminal possession of a\nweapon, a class A misdemeanor; and endangering the welfare of a child, a class A\nmisdemeanor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rojas and two juveniles are accused of unlawfully entering a\nresidential garage in the town of Westmoreland on Oct. 14, 2019, and assaulting\na 21-year-old and a 23-year-old male with a gun and glass bottle. Both victims\nwere transported to the hospital, treated and released.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A 17-year-old female&nbsp;was arrested and charged with second-degree\nburglary, a class C felony; she was arraigned in Oneida County Family Court and\nreleased.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A 15-year-old male&nbsp;was arrested and charged with\nsecond-degree burglary, a class C felony; second-degree assault, a class D\nfelony; and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a class A\nmisdemeanor. He was arraigned in Oneida County Family Court and released.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Names of both juvenile arrestees are not being released due\nto their age.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>23 Oct. 2019<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Couple arrested on drug charges\nfollowing traffic stop in Oneida County<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On Oct. 21, 2019, state police in Herkimer stopped a 2013\nHyundai on State Route 5 in Schuyler. The operator, Tiffany S. McConn, 38, of\nSauquoit, was found to be in possession of one clear bag containing about 3.5\ngrams of cocaine. She was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled\nsubstance, a class C felony.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A passenger in the vehicle, Andrew W. Thornton, 37, of Utica,\nwas allegedly in possession of a scale containing cocaine residue; he was\ncharged with seventh-degree criminal possession of controlled substance, a\nclass A misdemeanor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>McConn and Thornton were transported to Schuyler Town Court\nfor arraignment and were released. They are scheduled to appear in Schuyler Town\nCourt at 2 p.m. Nov. 18, 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>23 Oct. 2019<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>UPDATE: Vehicle strikes Amish buggy in\ntown of Mexico<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On Oct. 23, 2019, Anna J. Miller succumbed to injuries she\nsustained in the crash.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The investigation continues.<br>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>State police in Pulaski are investigating a vehicle\/Amish\nbuggy crash that occurred on State Route 3 in the town of Mexico, Oswego\nCounty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On Oct. 17, 2019, at approximately 4:30 p.m., a 2018 Ford\nFusion, operated by&nbsp;William E. Twombly,&nbsp;40, of Carthage, was northbound\non State Route 3 in the town of Mexico and failed to observe a horse-drawn\nAmish buggy, also northbound on State Route 3. Twombly struck the buggy from\nbehind, causing occupants Anna J. Miller and Andy A. Miller to be ejected. Twombly\u2019s\nvehicle then struck a large rock retaining wall and a National Grid utility\npole before coming to rest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Anna J. Miller,&nbsp;44, of Pulaski, sustained a\nsevere head injury and was transported to SUNY Upstate Medical University in\nSyracuse and was listed in critical condition.&nbsp;<\/li><li>Andy A. Miller, 44, of Pulaski, was transported\nto SUNY Upstate Medical University with back injuries.<\/li><li>Twombly was transported as a precaution to SUNY Upstate\nMedical University.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Two horses were also severely injured and were euthanized\nper the owner&#8217;s request.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The investigation continues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>25 Oct. 2019<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>15-year-old Baldwinsville teen arrested\non attempted burglary charges<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On Oct. 25, 2019, at approximately 10:17 a.m. state police responded\nto a report of a prowler outside a residence on Van Buren Road in the town of\nVan Buren. A neighbor reported seeing a male juvenile peering into the windows\nof the home. Upon the trooper\u2019s arrival, he observed a male standing near one\nof the windows. The male suspect then fled into the wooded area behind the home\nand a short distance from Baldwinsville\u2019s Ray Middle School.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The superintendent of the Baldwinsville School District\nplaced all of the schools in a district-wide lockout due to the search. A state\npolice bloodhound unit responded to the area and assisted with the search. Trooper\nKevin Conners with bloodhound Schini, located the suspect, later identified as\na 15-year-old male, and placed him in custody without incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the investigation, Investigators found a tool still\nwedged into a window frame at the house the suspect was seen peering into.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 15-year-old was charged with second-degree attempted burglary,\na class C felony; and possession of burglar tools, a class A misdemeanor. Koehler of\nPulaski was northbound on I-81 in a 1997 Toyota Corolla when he lost control\nand exited the west side shoulder of the roadway, striking a guide rail and\noverturning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Koehler was uninjured and subsequently arrested for DWI with\na blood alcohol of .14 percent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Koehler was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to\nappear in Parish Town Court at 7:30 Nov. 5, 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>State police were assisted at the scene by the Parish Fire\nDepartment. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>21 Oct. 2019 State police seek public assistance with identifying an individual in surveillance photo State Police in Watertown are investigating a larceny that occurred on Oct. 4, 2019, at Wal-Mart, State Route 11, LeRay.
