State police seek\npublic assistance with identifying the driver of a vehicle involved in a road\nrage incident<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

State police in Marcy are investigating a reported road rage\nincident that occurred Nov. 26, 2019, on State Route 49 in the city of Rome\nnear the Griffiss Air Force Base exit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The complainant reported that a vehicle attempted to run her\noff the road for no apparent reason and began throwing items out the window\nbefore stopping on the Griffiss exit ramp and exiting his vehicle to throw what\nis believed to be an ax at her driver side window before the complainant fled\nthe scene out of fear for her life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Troopers are attempting to identify the vehicle in the photo\nabove. The driver is described as a white heavyset male with a bushy mustache\nand dark-colored hair.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anyone with information or who may have witnessed the\nincident is asked to contact state police at 315.366.6000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    State Police seek\npublic assistance with an animal cruelty case in Herkimer County<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    On Nov. 23, 2019, state police in Herkimer responded to the\narea of 631 Newport Road in Schuyler for a dog complaint.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    When troopers arrived, they observed four pit bull-mix\npuppies on the side of the roadway. One of the puppies was found dead, and the\nother three were malnourished and in poor health. It appears the puppies were\nleft on the side of the road with a small bucket of water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The town of Herkimer Dog Control Officer responded to the\nscene and took all of the puppies to her facility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Syracuse man facing several charges after biting a trooper and refusing to leave friend’s apartment<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    State police arrested Noah A. Rivers, 24, of Syracuse, for\nsecond-degree assault, a class D felony; second-degree criminal trespass, a\nclass A misdemeanor; and resisting arrest, a class A misdemeanor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    On Dec. 3, 2019, at approximately 1 a.m., state police\nresponded to 121 Roxboro Circle, Apt. 2, in Salina for a disturbed-person\ncomplaint.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    When troopers arrived, they met with the complainant outside\nof the apartment who stated he was concerned about his friend who had shown up\nat his residence acting strange, and he wanted him to leave.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Troopers advised Rivers that the resident wanted him to leave\nor he would be arrested. Rivers refused to leave and was informed he was going\nto be arrested. Rivers began to physically resist and was subsequently placed\ninto custody.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    While troopers were assisting Rivers into the rear passenger\nside of the patrol car, he became combative and bit the trooper on his upper\nleg, causing substantial pain and bleeding. The trooper was treated and\nreleased.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Rivers was transported by ambulance to St. Joseph\u2019s Hospital\nfor a medical evaluation before being arraigned at the Onondaga County Justice\nCenter for centralized arraignment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    State police were assisted at the scene by the Onondaga\nCounty Sheriff\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
