Library\nClosures: <\/strong>We are closed Wednesday Jan. 1, 2020<\/strong> to observe New Year\u2019s Day and Monday Jan. 20, 2020 <\/strong>to observe Martin\nLuther King Jr. Day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Canned Food Drive: <\/strong>We will be having our annual Canned Food Drive to benefit the Morrisville Food Pantry Jan. 2-Feb. 29<\/strong>. Please help us make it better than last year. Help us to benefit to our food pantry. We can only take any non-perishable, UNEXPIRED canned food item. We will ALSO collect hygiene products like soap, shampoo, toothpaste and toothbrushes etc. for the Pantry as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Library\nLuau Party:<\/strong> Celebrate your last day off from\nschool with a LUAU on Friday Jan. 3 at\n2:00pm<\/strong>. Come and party up with us in the cold of winter before school\nstarts again. Games, food and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kiddies\nKorner:<\/strong> Bring the little ones in on Tuesday Jan. 7 at 10:00am<\/strong> for our\npreschool story hour. We are having fun with the topic, \u201cMittens.\u201d Stories,\nfinger plays, a craft and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Teen\/Adult\nMovie Night<\/strong>: Come join us for a movie, rated PG-13\non Friday Jan. 10 at 7:00pm<\/strong>. We\nprovide the popcorn; bring your own beverage. Due to licensing regulations, we\ncannot post titles, but check out our website for the complete list this summer.\n(https:\/\/morrisvillepubliclibrary.org\/events\/movie-nights-the-library\/) This\nmovie is PG-13 so children will not be allowed to enter without a parent\/guardian\nif under the mandatory age.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Learn\nto Crochet<\/strong>: Always wanted to learn how to make\nthose cute afghans? Need a refresher? Come join Tanya DeCock as she teaches us\nhow to crochet on Monday Jan. 13 at\n6:30pm<\/strong>. All participants MUST bring a skein of yarn and a G or H crochet\nhook. We will start by learning a scarf and go from there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kiddies\nKorner:<\/strong> Bring the little ones in on Tuesday Jan. 14 at 10:00am<\/strong> for our\npreschool story hour. We are having fun with the topic, \u201cLet\u2019s Be Silly.\u201d Stories,\nfinger plays, a craft and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Library\nBoard Trustees meeting: <\/strong>On Thursday Jan. 16 at 6:30pm<\/strong>, the Library\nBoard of Trustees will meet in the library\u2019s program room. The public is\nwelcome and encouraged to attend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NERF\nBattle Night:<\/strong> Bring your own Nerf equipment (darts\ntoo\u2013please label them) and join us for open play around the library on Friday Jan. 17 at 8:30pm<\/strong>. See if the\nlibrary stacks provide you enough shelter from getting hit by a friend\u2019s foam\ndart. Open to ages 7 and up; so adults are welcome too. Everyone must bring a\nsnack and a drink. We only have 14 spaces so sign up starting Jan. 2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kiddies\nKorner:<\/strong> Bring the little ones in on Tuesday Jan. 21 at 10:00am<\/strong> for our\npreschool story hour. We are having fun with the topic \u201cElephant Walk\u201d. Stories,\nfinger plays, a craft and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Snowmageddon\nfor Homeschoolers.:<\/strong> Homeschoolers are welcome to join us\non Tuesday Jan. 21 at 1:30pm<\/strong>. Come\nand learn how to make snow cream (ice cream with snow), origami snowflakes,\nicicles with chemistry, make a rice krispy treat snowman and more. Dress for\ngoing outside too as we will make snow creatures and paint them too. (And we\nheard there may be an indoor snowball fight..) If you would like to have your\nhomeschool family create something to do for this event please email the\nLibrary Manager at: mrounds@midyork.org.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Book\nTalk<\/strong>: Looking for a good book to read? How\nabout joining our book talk on Wednesday\nJan. 22 at 6:30pm,<\/strong> as we will be reading, Little Fires Everywhere <\/em>by Celeste Ng. Copies can be picked up now.\nDiscussion open to teens and adults. So grab a book, read it and come join us\nfor a sure to be fun discussion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
