The first Eagle Scout alumni reunion he sponsored was at Ocean Blue restaurant April 24, 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of the program, Council President Matt Dziedzic of\nAllstate Insurance in Yorkville, thanked Total Solutions and provided everyone\nwith a Council update and introduced Paul Obernesser of Rome, the Council\nCamping Properties Committee chairman, to let everyone know Steve Barnes pledged\nto donate $100,000 to Camp Kingsley\u2019s 100th anniversary capital campaign if we\ncan raise another $200,000 by July 4, 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By the end of the night, another $37,500 was pledged by\nthree Eagle Scout alumni: Jim DiCastro of Rome; James Jordan Associates,\nArchitects of Richfield Springs; and the family of John Edwards of Liverpool.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Together with Barnes\u2019s pledge and other gifts and pledges\nreceived over the last couple of months, the Leatherstocking Council needs to\nraise another $150,000 over the next seven months to complete this $300,000\nproject.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For more information, visit&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.leatherstockingcouncil.org\/RobertBarnesCenter\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">leatherstockingcouncil.org\/RobertBarnesCenter<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Boy Scouts of America Leatherstocking Council is a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that serves Scouting families across Delaware, Hamilton, Herkimer, Lewis, Madison, Oneida, Otsego and Schoharie counties.
