Upon arrival, officers located a male, later identified as\n21-year-old Daryun Prescod of Utica, who had been struck once in the leg from\nthe gunfire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Prescod reported he was seated inside his vehicle in the\nroadway when he began to hear gunfire and then noticed he was struck; he was transported\nto a local hospital by the Utica Fire Department where he underwent emergency\ncare.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">His injuries are not considered life-threatening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There is no suspect information, and the investigation is ongoing;\nanyone with information is asked to contact the Utica Police Department\nCriminal Investigations Division at 315.223.3510.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Police respond to report of shots fired on Roberts Street On Jan. 8, 2020, at approximately 8:30 p.m., Utica Police units were dispatched to the 700 block of Roberts Street regarding a shots-fired complaint.
