The State University of New York Athletic Conference announced its 2019-20 Commissioner\u2019s Academic Honor Roll, naming 23 student-athletes from SUNY Morrisville\u2019s field hockey and men\u2019s ice hockey programs to its list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Commissioner\u2019s Academic Honor Roll recognizes student-athletes with a 3.30 or higher cumulative grade point average.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOur student-athletes continue to make the commitment to excellence in the classroom, as well as on the fields of competition,\u201d said Brandy Thurston, Senior Woman Administrator.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBoth programs registered team GPA\u2019s above a 3.0 while being involved within the local and surrounding communities with outstanding service initiatives as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cTheir dedication to putting student first in student-athlete, truly speaks to their character and pledge to academic success, as well as the core principles of what it means to be a Division III student-athlete.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
