State police are investigating an apparent drowning that occurred about 7:24 p.m. July 18, 2020, in Cazenovia Lake in the town of Cazenovia, Madison County.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Troopers responded to the area of 4743 East Lake Road in the town of Cazenovia after a body was discovered floating near a wooden dock. First-responders removed the victim from the lake, where he was pronounced deceased.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The victim is identified as Donald M. Dixon, 78, of Cazenovia. An autopsy is scheduled to determine the official cause of death.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The investigation continues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
