{"id":113580,"date":"2020-10-01T10:17:16","date_gmt":"2020-10-01T14:17:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/madisoncountycourier.com\/?p=113580"},"modified":"2020-10-02T09:00:47","modified_gmt":"2020-10-02T13:00:47","slug":"113580","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/madisoncountycourier.com\/?p=113580","title":{"rendered":"Madison County announces best practices for Halloween"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Madison County Health Department released best practices for Halloween and Trick-or-Treating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe know many families want to go out and go trick-or-treating this Halloween, so here at the Health Department we put together some best practices to help people celebrate safely,\u201d said Madison County Public Health Director Eric Faisst.&nbsp; \u201cCurrently the infection rate in Madison County, as it has been for weeks now, is well below 1 percent. People should still be diligent and know that the virus is still out there.&nbsp; Should you decide to go out for Halloween, we strongly encourage you to follow these best practices to do so safely.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you do go trick-or-treating, keep these best practices in mind:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Stay home if you are sick.<\/li><li>Keep your trick-or-treating group small with family or close friends.<\/li><li>Remain six feet apart from other trick-or-treaters outside your group.<\/li><li>Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.<\/li><li>Wear a face covering over mouth and nose. A costume mask is not a substitute for a cloth face covering. Do not wear a costume mask over a cloth mask.
