{"id":117384,"date":"2021-04-22T12:34:33","date_gmt":"2021-04-22T16:34:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/madisoncountycourier.com\/?p=117384"},"modified":"2021-04-22T12:34:33","modified_gmt":"2021-04-22T16:34:33","slug":"utica-police-give-strike-team-makes-weapons-possession-arrest","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/madisoncountycourier.com\/?p=117384","title":{"rendered":"Utica Police GIVE Strike Team makes weapons possession arrest"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>At approximately 10:20 p.m. April 21, 2021, members of the GIVE Strike Team conducted a vehicle stop at Oriskany Street at Barnes Avenue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the course of the stop, the driver was found to be operating the vehicle on a suspended license, and two of the female occupants were identified as having outstanding warrants from the Utica Police Department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These three parties were taken into custody for these charges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While continuing the investigation at the stop, a third female occupant advised officers that she had a loaded handgun in her bag.&nbsp; Based on this admission, the bag was located, searched and a loaded .40 caliber semi-automatic handgun was located within.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Investigation continued at headquarters, and at the conclusion of same, the following charges were issued:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Janay Hymes, 24, of Utica, was arrested on an outstanding disorderly conduct warrant;<\/li><li>Katasha Bradley, 19, of Utica, was arrested on two outstanding petit larceny warrants;<\/li><li>Hexadore Randall, 27, of Utica, was written tickets for several state vehicle and traffic law violations; and<\/li><li>Jessica Reed, 41, of Utica, was charged with criminal possession of a firearm, second-degree criminal possession of a weapon and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon.<\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>At approximately 10:20 p.m. April 21, 2021, members of the GIVE Strike Team conducted a vehicle stop at Oriskany Street at Barnes Avenue.
