(Ilion, NY \u2013 Feb. 25, 2013) \u00a0U.S. House Representative of NY State\u2019s 22nd\u00a0district, Congressman Richard Hanna will be the keynote speaker for this Friday\u2019s Creating Healthy Places in Herkimer County Recognition Luncheon.<\/p>\n
This Friday, Herkimer County HealthNet will recognize farmers\u2019 markets, municipalities, schools, and non-profit organizations for their efforts in improving parks, playgrounds and trails; fostering healthy eating; and enhancing places for physical activity at their 2nd\u00a0Annual Creating Healthy Places Recognition Luncheon.\u00a0 The event is set to take place at Francesca\u2019s Banquets and Catering, Ilion at noon.\u00a0 The format of the event includes a social meet and greet luncheon followed by an awards ceremony.<\/p>\n
Adam Hutchinson, Executive Director of Herkimer County HealthNet stated, \u201cWe are honored to have U.S. Congressman Richard Hanna as our keynote speaker.\u00a0 His leadership on the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee and Northeast Agriculture Caucus aligns with the activities and initiatives that we are working on here in Herkimer County in an effort to combat obesity, type 2 diabetes, and other chronic diseases.\u201d<\/p>\n
