The Harrisburg, Pa., native was part of Colgate\u2019s third-place finish at last month\u2019s Patriot League Championships.<\/p>\n<p>She helped the Raiders\u2019 400-yard freestyle relay team to a Patriot League championship with a time of 3:23.43. Wary also placed third in the 100-yard freestyle and fifth in the 50-yard freestyle, while boosting Colgate to a pair of third-place finishes in the 200-yard medley and 200-yard freestyle relays.<\/p>\n<p>Her point total earned Wary a position on the All-Patriot League second team.<\/p>\n<p>Navy\u2019s Laura Gorinski was named Women\u2019s Swimming and Diving Scholar-Athlete of the Year. Gorinski becomes the second in the sport to claim the award three times, joining Navy\u2019s Kelly Zahalka, who was honored from 2007-09.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s scholar-athlete and the team were nominated and voted on by the League\u2019s swimming and diving sports information directors, who cannot cast a ballot for their own student-athletes.<\/p>\n<p>To be eligible for the Scholar-Athlete of the Year award and the Academic All-Patriot League Team, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average and be a starter or key player in his\/her sport.
