(New Woodstock, NY – March 2013\"CStalderGoldKey_small\"<\/a>) Cazenovia High School Student art will be showcased in a month long exhibit at the New Woodstock Free Library located at 2106 Main St. (Route 13), New Woodstock. A reception will be held at the library from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, March 25.<\/p>\n

The student art will be on display from March 18 to April 20.<\/p>\n

The exhibit will feature Cazenovia student art entered in the Central New York Scholastic Art Awards event held recently at Onondaga Community College. The library has hosted the Cazenovia High School art exhibit for nearly two decades.<\/p>\n

Eleven Cazenovia students won prizes in the 2013 CNY Scholastic Art Awards, which drew 4,600 works of art from around Central New York. The honorees included three Gold Key winners: Amara Kattrein, Courtney Parisou and Colleen Stalder. Silver Keys went to Kate Godiers and Tori Meade.<\/p>\n

Honorable mentions were awarded to Becky Marris (2), Courtney Parisou (2), Emily Willard, Abbie McEntee, Tori Meade (2), Rachel McLaughlin, Sarah Christiansen (2) and Morgan Croft.<\/p>\n

In all, 32 Cazenovia students participated in this year\u2019s competition, submitting a total of 121 works of art. Of these, nine seniors submitted portfolios (eight-piece collections that represent their hard work, dedication and growth as artists throughout their Cazenovia careers): Becky Marris, Courtney Parisou, Tyler Dunkle, Emily Willard, Emily Murphy, Morgan Croft, Gaevin Froio, Sarah Christiansen and Sam Medbury.<\/p>\n

Students who submitted individual work are: Kate Godiers, Amara Kattrein, Alexis King, Caitlin McCauley, Abbie McEntee, Rachel McLaughlin, Danielle Mevec, Danny Phillips, Julia Raleigh, Sydney Schnabl, Matt Mistur, Grace Wheeler, Colleen Stalder, Mitch McCullough, Tori Meade, Natalie Roszel, Alexis Simko, Gillian Brod, Jess McDonough, David Martellock, Delanie Spangler, Samantha Marti, and Brittany Doherty.<\/p>\n

The Central New York region has conducted an annual Scholastic Art Awards program for more than 65 years. The Central region covers a very large geographic area \u2013 13 counties and almost 400 eligible schools.<\/p>\n

Gold Key winners\u2019 work will now go on to the National Scholastic Art Show.<\/p>\n
