Spring Musical to be presented at Catherine Cummings Theatre at Cazenovia College<\/p>\n
(Cazenovia, NY \u2013 March 2013) Cazenovia College\u2019s spring musical performance is Lionel Bart\u2019s\u00a0OLIVER!,\u00a0a musical version of Charles Dickens’ “Oliver Twist,” set in 1800s London.<\/p>\n
The show will be staged on two weekends, April 12 to 14, and April 19 to 21, with Friday and Saturday performances at 8 p.m. and Sunday performances at 2 p.m. Admission is $12 for adults; $8 for children age 12 and under; and $3 for Cazenovia College students.<\/p>\n
The performance is directed by David Lowenstein, Cazenovia College\u2019s artist in residence.<\/p>\n
In the starring role,\u00a0Gerard McCrohan,\u00a0of Manlius plays Oliver. The Artful Dodger is played by Zach Simms of Cazenovia; Fagin is played by\u00a0Alan Stillman\u00a0of Cazenovia; Nancy is played by Michele Lindor,\u00a0a Cazenovia College English major from Syracuse and Bill Sykes is played\u00a0by John Melvin\u00a0of Cazenovia.<\/p>\n
Zachary Martin of Syracuse is Mr. Bumble;\u00a0Rita Worlock\u00a0of Syracuse is Widow Corney; James Tobey\u00a0of Cazenovia is Mr. Brownlow; Mrs. Bedwin is played by\u00a0Beth Anne Kempf\u00a0of Cazenovia; Mr. Sowerberry is played by\u00a0Mark Braimen\u00a0of Cazenovia; and Mrs. Sowerberry is played by\u00a0Renee Joseph\u00a0of Cazenovia.<\/p>\n
The rest of the company is made up of Cazenovia College students, local middle school students and adults from the community.<\/p>\n
The Catherine Cummings Theatre at Cazenovia College is located at 16 Lincklaen St. in Cazenovia. Event tickets are available at the door before the event, and may also be purchased by calling 655-STAR (7827), and at Cazenovia Jewelry, Albany Street in Cazenovia.<\/p>\n
